Seasonal Thresholds

Each season, a designated amount of electricity is provided at the lowest possible cost. The amount where the cost is increased is called the 'threshold'.

The amount changes between summer and winter.

During the summer, the first 600 kwh of electricity is provided at the lower cost. All consumption above that use is priced at the higher cost.

During the winter, the first 1000 kwh of electricity is provided at the lower cost. This allows for shorter daylight hours and increased heating needs.
