Conditions of Service

Our Conditions of Service is the primary reference for communicating our operating practices, connection policies and services available to customers within our service area.

It documents what types of services are available and the conditions to be met for these services. It is used for new lots created by severances or subdivisions; for all new buildings; and for renovations and upgrades.

The Conditions of Service also govern the operation of the system after connection. Voltage levels, power quality and power factor requirements are all specified to ensure customers can rely on electrical service that is free from interference from other customers.

Printed copies of our Conditions of Service document are available at our Operations Centre located at 37 Front Street.

For service cost estimates, please contact our Engineering Department at 343-1168. These estimates will be provided within fifteen (15) calendar days of the request.

Thunder Bay Hydro will provide advance public notice of any changes to our Conditions of Service through notices with customer bills, on our website and notices in a local newspaper.
