Safety Services

Call Before You Dig!

Call before You digFor your safety, we ask that, before you do any digging in an area where there are underground power lines, you give us a call first. We provide an underground cable location service at no charge during normal working hours. We will mark the location of the buried line, so you know where you can dig safely.

Call us when digging for:

  • tree planting
  • party tents
  • children's inflatable activity centres
  • fence posts
  • decks
  • pool excavation

Making contact with underground power lines can cause serious injure - even death, so please call us ahead.

To contact our locates department, call 343-1111.

Tree Trimming

Mini Arborist at workTrees planted under power lines can grow to be a hazard. Not only can they be the cause of power outages, they can also endanger adventurous, tree-climbing children.

In case of an emergency, please call us right away at 343-1176 (office hours) or 343-1002 (after hours).

If you have trees that you believe are interfering with power lines or your service line, call us to assess the situation and advise you on a course of action. To request an assessment, call 343-1176.
